BHP to invest up to $14bn to boost copper production in Chile

BHP aims to increase copper production in Chile from 430,000 to 540,000 tonnes per annum with a $10-14bn investment. The company plans to counteract ore grade declines and meet growing demand driven by renewable energy and electric vehicles.
