Sport is lagging behind other sectors in the race to net zero
Sports teams are focusing on reducing greenhouse gas emissions to achieve net-zero carbon status, following trends from other industries. Formula 1 and some Premier League clubs have set ambitious targets, with Arsenal FC becoming the only football club with an approved net-zero target by the Science Based Targets initiative.
