Senator Rick Scott of Florida endorsed Lara Trump to replace Senator Marco Rubio, who was selected by President-elect Donald Trump to be the secretary of state. Lara Trump, a strong supporter of the Trump administration, is being considered for the Senate seat by Gov. Ron DeSantis.
