Remains of WWII airman from Tennessee identified 80 years after plane shot down
After 80 years, the remains of WWII airman Tech. Sgt. Sanford G. Roy were identified from a crash site in Germany. His plane was shot down in 1944, and he will be buried in his hometown on the 81st anniversary of his loss in 2025.
