A former Army soldier was sentenced to over four years in prison for assaulting officers during the Jan. 6 Capitol attack. Edward Richmond, Jr., previously convicted of manslaughter, assaulted officers with a baton. Over 1,100 defendants have been convicted in connection with the Capitol attack.
