Apple Pay, Cash App, PayPal and other apps to be treated more like banks
The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will now supervise digital services handling large transactions, like Apple Pay and Venmo. This rule aims to enhance oversight on fraud, data privacy, and customer disputes, focusing on transactions in USD.
